Too many times, we believe that using a flaming new Framework is
the solution, while it binds you to thousands of dependencies that
are not under your control. We lose common understanding on how
web-technologies are working, lose sight of what the basics can
offer, without tying you down to end up updating your codebase
every six months to keep track of changes that come in through all
your dependencies. We don't think twice anymore if we actually
need the imported resources. We lose knowledge by using too much
abstraction provided by Frameworks.
Native web-technologies has so much to offer, and for free.
Support for multiple browsers, ability to install it as an app on
your phone, more stable than any library you could use,
custom-elements, storage in multiple forms, even Service workers
and access to Web-Workers which could improve performance
tremendously.
Eccentric? Absolutely, but not only, rest assured. Discovering software development was the
turning point in my career. After being a florist, a cook and a customer service agent, I've
started studying programming. Front-end development got me hooked up from the very first
time I experimented what I could achieve in the browser. Since then, my experiences brought
me to understand how the web works and expand my creativity to no ends.
I'm an eager person and driven in each of my endeavors. Not afraid to say what's on my mind,
I tend to help people see the other side of their problems. Pragmatism helps me to make
decisions while keeping in mind my working environment. Respectful and good listener, I'll
make sure to fit into any team and share my contagious smile.
